Verification

A matching record shows that this number exists in the Cert-Lab system and displays only the status and details the laboratory has chosen to publish. It does not, by itself, prove where the sample came from, how it was kept before or after testing, whether information supplied by a client is true, or whether a product is suitable for a particular use.

Finding a record is not a promise that a product is fit for a particular use, and it is not a substitute for reading the report itself.

Reports

Report files remain under the control of the laboratory. A public download is available only when that release has been switched on for a published record. Do not present a withdrawn or replaced report as a current result.

Acceptable use

Do not use the verification form to harvest numbers, probe the service in bulk, or submit another person’s confidential information through the contact form unless you are entitled to share it.
